New Music Friday: Featuring 3.26 Showcase Lineup

Day by day, the 5 years anniversary celebration of our biannual showcase is inching closer. Located at 3rd & Lindsley, the Music on The Move Showcase is featuring 4 talented up and coming artists ranging from rock n roll to southern country. Artists: Barie, Amanda McCarthy, Thunder and Rain Band, and Sarah Lake will all be performing their original music… here is a sneak peak to what you will be hearing.

Barie

Barie is the artist to listen to when you want the perfect intersection of Paramore crossed with Avril Lavigne. Her raspy, rock n roll tone is a direct reflection of her idols which shines through her newest single, “Chalklines and Bloodstains.” Released in July of 2023, Barie catches the listener's attention with the strong drum beat and guitar solo. Creating a descriptive scene of “blood on the wall and carpet,” you can’t miss Barie’s passion for her music while listening to this original piece.

Amanda McCarthy

Amanda McCarthy is the self proclaimed “not country country” artist who will bring one of her biggest singles, “Don’t Stop Me” to the showcase stage. Amanda’s inspiration for this song is from her unsupportive hometown, telling them “I’m a different person than I was years ago.” Amanda’s passion is undeniable when you hear her voice belt the first note backed by the strong drum beat and classic acoustic guitar.

Thunder and Rain Band

You think you are listening to the classic country band The Chicks, but it is actually the bluegrass trio, Thunder and Rain Band. Encapsulated by the violin in the very beginning, “Wendigos Wanderin’” is the heart of Thunder and Rain band’s voice and overall sound. Released in late 2023, the old-timey country sound is filled with jaw dropping harmonies and ear catching banjo melody support.

Sarah Lake

“Get In or Get Out” is the feature song for country artist Sarah Lake. Opening the song with a power and deep rhythmic tempo, this song is nothing short of a self empowerment anthem. This song will make you want to clap along as Lake proclaims “I love who I am and I know where I’m from.” Sarah will take her “4 wheels and freedom” and take over the showcase stage from the second she steps on the stage.

Catch all of these artists at the Music on The Move Showcase at 3rd & Lindsley at 7:30pm on March 26th! Get your tickets below! Can’t wait to see you there!
