Where are you from?
Originally from McMinnville Oregon, wine country! About an hour from the coast.

Why did you decide to get into music?
My parents have always been involved in music. They actually met at a karaoke bar, so you could say that I was born out of a love for music.

Who is your inspiration in your personal life? Professional?
My biggest personal inspiration is my big brother. He’s an ex marine with such a big heart. He takes great care of his family and is always striving for growth in his personal life.

Professionally, Hayley Williams has always been my biggest inspiration. She is so incredibly creative and kind.. her music has helped me through so much. I hope my music can help others in that way.

What impact do your loved ones have on your music?
My mom and dad are excellent singers, and my sister taught me how to harmonize. They have always been supportive of my creativity. My mom, sister and I have a killer three part harmony to Landslide.

What is your favorite cover song to play?
Misery Business by Paramore

When you have no inspiration, where do you go or look?
I switch mediums for a little while. When I’m not feeling inspired, it’s usually due to stress or pressure. So to combat that, I pick up my acrylic paints and let my creativity flow. It helps remind me to let go and enjoy the process before getting back to my music.

Have you always wanted to be a musician?
Since I was a young child, I always knew music would be a part of my life forever.

How does your hometown inspire you?
Not as often as it used to, but when I go back for the holidays I feel inspired to write about how far I’ve come since moving away.

How did you decide to follow the creative path you’re currently on musically?
I had to learn to allow myself to look silly to others. I had to let go of the idea that everyone needed to love me and my music. I am not for everyone, and I’m so thankful for that. Authenticity is the driving force behind everything I create. How can I be my most authentic self, and inspire others to do the same? This is my creative path.
