About She is The Movement Fest & Music on The Move

The idea for She is The Movement Festival was born the same year “Music on The Move” showcases were. Creator and owner of Music on The Move Studios, Erin McLendon, felt the need for a space where independent female artists and entrepreneurs could gather together and celebrate each other’s art!

McLendon knew she had to build the showcase and Music on The Move brand up in order to gain the Nashville community’s trust and confidence to create this festival!

Since 2019, Music on The Move has gone from being quarterly, to a weekly live stream (thanks to 2020,) a monthly acoustic showcase, back to it’s original format of a full-band all-female showcase. Now, with the partnership of Lipstick Lounge and 12SFM Events, the dream born 6 years ago has become a reality!

She is The Movement festival will feature 10 female artists of varying genres, as well as an all-female pop up market with all female owned and operated businesses (as well as a food court!)
