New Music Friday: Meet Our October Showcase Lineup

Since tickets for our October 10th showcase at 3rd & Lindsley are officially on sale today (!!!), it seems only appropriate to feature our lineup on the New Music Friday playlist this week!

Lunchbox Rachel is a Midwestern singer-songwriter with a sound that decidedly leans into modern indie-rock, but whose broad musical background makes her more than just another voice on the Nashville scene. Evoking the sound and spirit of pioneering female-led bands like the Go-Gos or the Pretenders, her energy and voice have been compared to Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morrisette, but with an edgy sophistication that makes her a true original.

Her song “Southern Fried Homicide”, captures the inner monologue that your mother (or you) has probably been shoving down for years, and explodes it into this twangy, badass jam!

Amber Sweeney is an engaging singer-songwriter who enchants audiences with her soulful voice and heartfelt stories. Her music has been featured in popular TV shows like Queen Sugar, One Tree Hill, and Life Unexpected. Newlybased in Nashville, she regularly performs with the Song Suffragettes, has been semi-finalist for Tennessee’s Songwriter Week, and her song “Breathe” was a semi-finalist for the 2022 International Songwriting Competition. Amber's music empowers and captivates, leaving a lasting impact on listeners worldwide.

Amber’s “Sweet Light”, is a smooth, jazzy tune. Let her warm, chocolatey vocals woo you (and maybe a special someone) into oblivion this weekend!

A storyteller at heart and a songwriter by trade, Kaylee Federmann’s music is turning ears. She has secured a nomination for Pop Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards, as well as a nomination for Pop Act of the Year at the 2021 New England Music Awards. Originally from Boston MA, Kaylee attended Berklee College of Music before dropping out and moving to Nashville where she currently resides. She has built a strong online following and community with her music. Her song ‘Her Song’ sparked large viewership on TikTok, which in turn generated over 2 million streams, followed by ‘You Rlly Know’ with nearly 500k streams. She has opened for artists like Ally Brooke of Fifth Harmony, Sara Grace from The Voice and others. Her live show is unique and engaging, with a live vocoder (played by Kaylee herself), crazy guitar loops and tracks, and unique melodies that will keep you on your feet. Her new musical style blends influences from The Strokes and Taylor Swift. Together, her and her music partner are creating an innovative and catchy sound that will keep you intrigued.

Her song, “You RLLY Know”, perfectly encapsulates the frustration that comes with dealing with an emotionally unavailable person. Its angsty pop vibes will make you want to shout along in your car and possibly alarm fellow drivers in passing!

Sarah Morey is a country music artist and songwriter originally from Tampa, Florida. Sarah began songwriting at the early age of seven and began performing professionally at the age of fifteen. She has graced the stage at the legendary Bluebird Café as well as music festivals including The Florida Strawberry Festival and The Gasparilla Music Festival. Having opened for artists including The Bellamy Brothers and Have Gun Will Travel, Sarah continues to prove herself as a prolific and captivating performer. Having found her passion for music at such a young age, she was named a Hard Rock Café Ambassador when she was only sixteen years old, following her time at GRAMMY Camp Nashville 2015. Since making the move to Nashville in 2018, Sarah has been featured as the musical guest on Today In Nashville and on stage with the highly acclaimed Song Suffragettes. While studying Songwriting and Music Business at Belmont University, the songstress was named Staff Songwriter at Off The Row Studio right outside of Nashville, Tennessee where she wrote songs for other artists. To date, Sarah has had over thirty cuts, not including her own releases. Her songs have been featured on CMT, The Country Network, Spotify editorial playlists, and The Nash News. Sarah also boasts an impressive track record as a music industry executive having maintained roles in A&R, music publishing, music publicity, and is now the Founder/CEO of Lucky Money Entertainment.

Sarah’s single, “Ghost Stories” will break your heart. With a haunting storyline and beautiful melody, this song is full of the kind of sorrow that hurts so good.

We’ll have more from these stellar artists as the showcase gets closer! Get your tickets now, this show is bound to knock your socks off.
