New Music Friday: It’s a Party in the U.S.A.?

With the 4th of July quickly approaching, we’re bringing you a special New Music Friday playlist feature this week with songs all about the U.S.A., and one final Pride celebration moment as we close out the month of June.

Whether you’re slamming a couple red solo cups back on the water, or keeping it low key with some good company and a fire, make sure you blast “Turn It Up” by Hannah Anders. This twangy, rockin’ anthem is bound to keep your party going all weekend long!

Although this holiday weekend is a great way to relax and celebrate, it’s important to reflect on the values that we choose to uphold for ourselves and as a country. Kristen Ford’s “These Colors Don’t Run” is a poignant commentary on the current state of our nation that cannot be ignored. So while you drink your beer, grill your favorite foods, and enjoy time with those you love most, take some time to acknowledge that which we cannot continue to ignore.

Closing out the playlist this week and, fittingly Pride Month, is Fame & Fiction’s “Mountain”— a heartbreaking recognition of a companion that is fickle and a connection beyond repair. If you need a big release of emotion this weekend, Fame & Fiction have you covered with this one! They’ll be releasing a brand-new album very soon so STAY TUNED!!

If you have music you’d like featured on the New Music Friday blog and playlist, submit your music to us in the contact section on our site!
