What We’re Looking for in our next Lineup!

We are SO excited that our next showcase is coming this fall, which means submissions to be a featured artist are opening soon! The two main questions we get when we meet new artists are 1) when is the next showcase and 2) how do I submit to be considered?

The reason we have artist submissions the way we do is quite honestly so we can keep all of y’all’s wonderful music in one place! If we accepted submissions via our inboxes, there is no doubt someone would get lost in the shuffle of marketing emails and “just wanted to follow up” emails. That being said, we are going to link that handy-dandy submission form everywhere between July 7th and July 14th so you can’t miss it!

So now, the questions remain: what do you need to submit and what are we looking for in our next lineup?

To Submit you will need:

⁃ ALL of your links. Website, social, streaming platforms, etc.

⁃ Links to the 4 songs you will be performing with our all-female house band, The HellCats. Unreleased songs are fine (especially if they’re coming out near showcase time!) Make sure to send us a Dropbox or Google Drive link and specify that the song is unreleased and the release date.

⁃ Accurate information on the last time you played a ticketed show and how many tickets you personally were able to sell.

What We are Looking For:

⁃ Good Vibes Only! Kidding…but not really 😏

⁃ Unique sounds & lyrics from ALL GENRES! What sets you apart from anyone else? Send us those songs!

⁃ Playable with a live band! Everyone either plays with the HellCats or, as a solo artist. See FAQ’s for more info!

⁃ Strong presence not just on social media but also in the Nashville and surrounding communities. You don’t necessarily have to have 10K followers on social media to be considered but, you do need have strong engagement numbers as well as a strong performance history.

Why we’re looking for those things:

This showcase is not only mean to empower women but also grow the independent female community in Nashville! From our vendors, to our musicians on stage we want to make sure this opportunity is as advantageous to everyone as possible!

With it being a ticketed show, in order to guarantee that everyone walks away with a positive experience, to put it simply, we have to sell tickets.

The Music on The Move Studios team will do our part to promote this show to make it the best it can be however, it takes a village and in order to be a part of that village, you have to do your part as well!

We can’t wait to hear your music and discover some new artists to welcome in to our community! Even if you are not selected for this showcase (there’s only 4 spots, we wish we could take everyone!) we encourage you to become a part of our community as a supporter! Whether it’s listening to our podcast, Paradox Jukebox, submitting to New Music Friday, reading and sharing our blog, signing up for the newsletter, or simply by coming to events either we put on or that feature artists and vendors in our community! We want to welcome you in to the Music on The Move Studios community no matter what!

Should you have questions about your submission before you officially submit, feel free to reach out!
