New Music Friday: Lips Speak Louder & Naomie

The female duo, Lips Speak Louder, released their newest cover song , “Why Do You Love Me.” Originally recorded by Garage in the early 2000s, the Nashville based rock group stated in an Instagram post that Garbage is one of their biggest inspirations in music, and it absolutely shows in this newest release. Comparing herself  to all of the other “Barbie dolls” in the world, you can hear the passion behind Rachel’s voice in every word throughout the song. Backed by a dynamic drum beat and heavy bass sound, the sound and production of this song is taking all of the listeners back to the early days of punk rock. Showing off her skills and technical discipline, drummer, Angela Lese, never misses a beat while also adding her own spice compared to the original song. With this cover of “Why Do You Love Me,” Lips Speak Louder are paying an amazing tribute to their musical inspirations and to early 2000s rock that every listener will appreciate.
